The majority of you now use the facebook website with great regularity. I would like to ask you all to use the site sensibly and not as a means of abusing people. Far too often this year  I have dealt with incidents relating to abuse/ nastiness that had been posted on facebook. This is unacceptable practice and in many cases criminal offences are being committed. Please take this advice on board and make sure you do not engage in this unacceptable behaviour.

 

May I draw your attention to a new application which has been recently launched by facebook and CEOP (Child Exploitation and On-line Protection)team, this a police agency set up to help protect young people on-line from Paedophiles and sexual predetors. Download this application to your facebook account from the below website. This way if you encounter another user you are unsure about you can notify CEOP immediately and thus keep yourself and other young people safe.

What are you going to do this Summer???

 

There are loads of activities you can get involved with from football to trampoling, face painting, drama, boxing, crafts, music, rock climbing or try your hand at some DJ skills!!!!

There are lots of activities going on at:

 

•  The Dingle Play Centre (behind Starr Fields). Providing a range of arts and craft.

 

• Starr Fields will be providing tennis, football, basketball etc

 

• Belvedere Youth Centre (Myles St, L8) will also be open daily  with a very extensive range of sports/activities.

 

I will be around these venues for parts of the Summer holidays, so call in, it would be great to see you at these events. I hope you all enjoy the Summer break, behave responsibly and return to Shorefields in September 2010 fully refreshed and ready for school.
